Polaroid 600

600.png

Type: Instant Film Camera (Point-and-Shoot, Refurbished)

Pure, Unfiltered 90s/Y2K Chaos. This isn't just a camera; it's a piece of functional pop art. A collaboration between Killer Acid (artist Rob Corradetti) and Retrospekt, this camera is built using refurbished internal components from original 1980s and 90s Polaroid 600s. Drenched in "Killer Acid" teal and pink with trippy illustrations of eyeballs and melt-y characters, it’s designed for the photographer who wants their gear to be as loud as their artistic vision.

When to Use: For the days when you're feeling weird and wonderful. It’s the ultimate conversation starter at a festival, an art show, or a desert road trip. Best served with a bucket hat, some oversized shades, and a total commitment to the "maximalist" aesthetic.

Katie's Tips :

Polaroid 600

Stay weird, shoot film 👁️🍄✨

The Lighten/Darken slider is your best friend. Vintage 600 sensors can be a little moody. If you’re shooting in a bright Waterbury park, keep it in the middle. If your subject is backlit, slide it toward "White" (Lighten). Also, since this has a plastic lens, it creates a very specific, slightly soft "vintage" texture that looks incredible for 80s-inspired street shots.

  • Format: Full-size Polaroid 600 Film

    Lens: 110mm Fixed-Focus Single-Element Plastic Lens

    Aperture: Fixed at f/14.6

Focus: Fixed focus (everything from 4 feet to infinity)

The Fact-Check: This is a "Point-and-Shoot" vintage build. Unlike the modern "Now" series, there is no autofocus. If you get closer than 4 feet, the photo will be blurry!

Shutter Speed: Automatic range from 1/3 to 1/200s

    Viewfinder: Direct Optical Window

The Fact-Check: This is a classic "box" viewfinder. It’s slightly offset from the lens, so mind the "Parallax" on your portraits!

Flash: Built-in automatic electronic flash (powered by the film pack)

    Key Features: Sliding Exposure Compensation

  • Film Type: Polaroid 600 Film ONLY

    Yield: 8 photos per pack

Development Time: 10 - 15 minutes (Shield from light while they "cook"!)

The "KatieK" Pro-Tip: Do not try to use i-Type film in this! Original vintage cameras like this one do not have an internal battery. They rely on the battery built into every 600 film cartridge to power the flash and the motor. No battery in the film = dead camera

  • Power: Film-Integrated Battery

The Fact-Check: There is no charging port on this camera. Every time you pop in a fresh pack of 600 film, you’re giving the camera a "heart transplant" with a brand new battery

Battery Life: Lasts exactly as long as your 8 photos
