Aperture Demystified: The Secret to Depth, Light, & "The Glow"
If you’ve ever looked at a photo and wondered why the background looks like a creamy, out-of-focus dream – or why a landscape looks so sharp you can see every individual leaf – you’re looking at Aperture.
Most people call it "the blur button," but it’s actually the most important decision you make before you hit the shutter. Whether you’re shooting on a brand-new mirrorless or a 40-year-old Nikon film SLR, the rules are exactly the same. Let’s get into it.

Where to Go in CT: The Firestone Art Studio & Cafe Edit
If you have never been to the Firestone Art Studio & Cafe in Manchester, CT, you are truly missing out. Even after moving out of Manchester, I still go back for visits – frequently. Not only can browse their insane and ever-changing stock to paint your own pottery, but you can also grab a latte or a quick bite to eat at their cafe; seriously the perfect combination. Not to mention that they have a corner of the shop stocked with goods from local artists, which is about as tempting as it can get.
